Fishtown local, pizza dude + all around good guy, Joe Beddia of Pizzeria Beddia, provided the inspiration for ‘the spicy salad that joe made’ on our new Winter hgTestKitchen menu. Lauded by Bon Appetit as the Best Pizza in America, Joe’s new spot down the street from us in Fishtown opens in early Spring. To ring in 2019, we've launched our new Winter seasonal items—the Vegan AF stir-fry + the Soulfull Oats Salad (S.O.S.)—and while we're excited about both dishes, we're especially stoked about the delicious housemade multi-seed crackers in the S.O.S.
since its introduction to our menu earlier in 2016, our Roasted Wheat Berry salad has been a fan favorite, thanks in large part to the local goat cheese provided by Kirchenberg Goat Farm in Fleetwood, PA. Through our friends at The Common Market, we met with farmer John Zimmerman and toured his 120+ goat, chicken + horse farmland, to see where our delicious goat cheese comes from. By connecting with our local purveyors, we are able to support family values like those he instills in his day-to-day operation.
Meet Char Nolan, wearer of many hats, but most well known as a plant strong advocate. She is one of our biggest fans (and has become a dear friend) and her story is beyond inspiring.
