we teamed up with Baltimore-based photographer, Ian Bell, to bring our new Rockville location to life. Ian's background is a mixture of music + photography, pulling inspiration from both mediums for each project he pursues. He often ends up marrying the two practices together when he hits the road on tour with a band—playing a set one night, shooting photos of performers the next.

limestone + rye: Sagamore Spirit

Aug 17, 2017 | posted by kyle

rye whiskey used to be as synonymous with Maryland as blue crabs—serving as home to much of the United States' supply, both before + after prohibition, only to fall dormant over recent years. Enter Sagamore Spirit—a vision of Kevin Plank (Under Armour), this charm city distillery gains inspiration + limestone-filtered water from the Baltimore County racehorse farm of the same name. They're working to revitalize interest in the industry, one bottle at a time, while preserving + expanding upon the rich history of Maryland whiskey.

We chatted with David to learn more about the history of the shop, their fun flavors + what makes Baltimore such a great hub for those in the food service industry.
